State gun bill doesn't please NRA
Law-abiding gun owners not affected
State Legislators: Don’t be yellow bellies, ignore the perpetual whining of the National Rifle Association and pass the watered-down gun measure [“Scaled-down gun bill fails to ease critics’ complaints,” NWThursday, Feb. 14]!
It does not infringe on the Second Amendment as purchasers would not be stopped from buying guns nor does it infringe on the “99 percent of gun owners who are law abiding citizens.” It only would interfere with the non-law-abiding citizens who can now buy all the guns they want at gun shows without a criminal-background check.
What’s the big deal?
