GOP ignores evidence, science

Hostility at new heights

Paul Krugman thinks that half of Americans are ignorant because they don’t agree with him, Hillary Clinton or President Obama [“Shunning the evidence-based world,” Opinion, Feb. 12]. Touché — Obama is changing the climate of politics.

I don’t remember another time in the history of politics that hostility was so common. I am an American and I am free to disagree with whomever I want. In referring to the Benghazi controversy, Hillary Clinton said in her “parting shot” on leaving the State Department, “They just will not live in an evidence-based world.” First of all, “they” is[/includes] me.

There was a loss of life in Benghazi and it is not a controversy — it is a fact. No one spun stories except those in Obama’s camp. A reality check is long overdue. The fact is, there should be empathy at a loss instead of more cover-up.

I am becoming one of those gray-haired people who miss the “good ol’ days!”
