Legislature to address employers' access to Facebook, other social media
Employer access prevents freedom
If we decide prospective employers have the right to our Facebook passwords and other such personal information, then a time will come when the only free people left in this country will be the retired and the unemployed [“Job hunt: Can firms demand Facebook password?,” page one, Feb. 6].
Eventually they’ll expect to read our election ballots. We’ve spent two hundred years defending freedom on the battlefield from every two-bit tyrant, from King George to Hitler. Please don’t tell me we no longer have the cojones to defend it on the job hunt.
