Linking of streetcar lines in Seattle proposed
Streetcar will cause problems for bike riders and drivers alike
Streetcars through downtown Seattle [“Supporters promote idea of linking streetcar lines,” NWWednesday, Feb. 6]? How quaint!
Of course, with their dedicated lanes and inflexible routes they will further clog traffic, the tracks will endanger bicycle riders, parking spaces will be removed (along with their revenue), and people will be discouraged from driving just as public transportation to neighborhoods is deteriorating.
Ding, ding, ding goes the trolley.
