Sacramento Kings to potentially return to Seattle

Commodification not cause for celebration

The very fact that it is possible to just buy a basketball team from another city and rename it the Sonics is precisely why I don’t give a damn about professional basketball [“Back in the game,” page one, Jan. 22].

Now if they were to build a whole new team from local talent, that would be something to celebrate.
