Seattle group purchase of Sacramento Kings confirmed
NBA takes pleasure in conflict
Having lived most of my life in Sacramento, I have friends who are Kings fans. It seems that the National Basketball Association management seems to experience a sort of schadenfreude over the anguish of fans who lose their teams [“Back in the game,” page one, Jan. 22].
Their apparent policy of pitting cities (and their sports fans) against each other, rather than awarding expansion franchises, is despicable.
