Gov. Inslee claims to extend, not increase taxes
Inslee’s degree suggests he should know better
In stating that extending certain tax increases on business will not result in increased costs to consumers [“Extension of taxes not an increase, Inslee insists,” page one, Jan. 18], Gov. Jay Inslee unwittingly flew in the face of the generally accepted economic principle that overhead costs are passed along to the consumer.
All this in the same breath as he pontificated about his degree in economics from the University of Washington.
