Mars Hill Church occupies United Methodist Church building
Landmark’s use should be progressive
I can’t help but feel disappointed and angry that a church with such toxic attitudes toward women and gays has taken up residence in a Seattle landmark [“Mars Hill at home with history,” NWMonday, Jan. 14].
I’m glad the beautiful old building has been preserved; I just wish an organization more in line with Seattle’s progressive values had made its home there instead.
