Gregoire reflects on highs and lows of gubernatorial term

Thank you for making tough decisions
Thank you, Gov. Chris Gregoire, for your tireless concern for this state [“Gregoire: ‘I saw us through the worst,’ ” NWSunday, Dec. 9].

We have seen eight years of turmoil and recession and you have faced it with tears and compassion for your constituents. We have not had to endure sex, political or financial scandals as residents of other states have. You have made tough decisions that weren't always popular, yet always for the common good.
I wish you well in your retirement.

—Sue Carlson, Edmonds
