Reaching Seattle Center's potential

Create a citywide campus
I have always called Seattle Center a campus and that is what it should be [“Seattle Center’s potential has not been fulfilled,” Opinion, Dec. 4]. Imagine it as a learning center where Seattle students, could join in workshops outside the normal high-school confines.

The Pacific Science Center would have an opportunity to live up to its mission statement. There is ample space for music and art. The EMP could participate, the Gates Foundation could contribute to a citywide center for science and arts and the University of Washington and Amazon are just an umbrella walk away.

Seattle Center as a citywide campus for high-school learning and supported by local business and university participation, on a 70 acre campus sounds like a good start to fulfilling the potential of the Seattle Center.

—Scot Bremner, Seattle
