Couple sues police for shooting their dog
Pet owners accountable for Rosie
Life is random; often tragic and senseless. When we make certain lifestyle choices, we have a responsibility for those choices.
Pet ownership is a lifestyle choice. Once we make the decision to own a pet, we must hold ourselves accountable for that pet. No one else is more responsible for a pet than the owners.
Rosie's terrible tragedy was likely avoidable through more conscientious pet ownership [“Lawsuit says police didn’t need to shoot, kill Rosie,” Nov. 28]. To blame local law enforcement by way of legal action seems disingenuous and irresponsible.
