Gregoire pushes state to reduce carbon emissions
Not serious about global warming
A headline in The Seattle Times read, “Gregoire urges action now to tackle acidity in water” [NWWednesday, Nov. 28]. This is the same Gov. Chris Gregoire who is 100 percent behind shipping U.S. coal to China through Washington ports.
Governor, when China burns our coal in unfiltered facilities, where do you think the acid rain will fall? For your information, there isn’t an atmospheric screen between China and the U.S.
You can’t have it both ways, governor. Either you are serious about acid rain and global warming, or you’re not. Since you advocate shipping coal to China, you’re not.
