Independent police monitor costs Seattle $880,000
Set priorities straight
I find it incredulous that our farsighted government can find $880,000 to oversee a police force that cannot seem to police itself [“Police monitoring to cost city $880,000 in first year,” NWThursday, Nov. 29], yet cannot find funds for the cold-case detectives.
Are we left to draw the conclusion that it’s better to allow murderers to continue to run free in order to police the police force? And we wonder why the general public is totally fed up with our elected government leaders, who cannot seem to get any priorities straight.
