Small merchants complain about Amazon
Amazon is a bully
No one likes a bully. The Seattle Times did us a favor by exposing what seems to be the biggest one in town — Amazon [“Amazon sellers feeling burned,” page one, Nov. 18]. Whether it's keeping their partners' funds beyond all reasonability, threatening states with withdrawing jobs if there's no sweetheart deal on state sales taxes or just saying they'd like to put their own "unique stamp" of tall towers on the Seattle skyline, these guys don't have to play fair because the ball and jacks all belong to them.
When we encounter a bully these days, we just say “no” and play with someoneelse. So let it be.
