Romney blames Obama's gifts to Democrats
Foot-in-mouth fiasco
I thought and hoped we might be through with Mitt Romney's stupid comments a week after the election. But no. Now he claims that Obamacare (similar to the Massachusetts health-care laws passed under Romney’s governorship) were bribery “gifts” to the young voters and to the minority voters from President Obama [“Romney: Obama won with ‘gifts’ to voters,” News, Nov. 15].
“Bribery?” “Gifts?” How dare anyone characterize the right to decent health-care coverage as "bribery" or a "gift."
I'm betting that many Americans agree that day-to-day health care is a right for all citizens. Recognition of an individual's rights should not be characterized as “bribery,” even if you're the sore loser in the U.S. presidential election. I, now, hope we are done with Romney forever after this foot-in-mouth fiasco.
