UW President Michael Young plans to shape future
State income tax is fair
I can't resist thanking The Seattle Times for printing the short sidebar about UW President Michael Young [“For UW’s top dog, it’s time to shape school’s future,” page one, Nov. 11].
"We have among the world's stupidest revenue systems here in this state,” said Young.
It was pure pleasure to read this. As someone who for many years paid a state income tax and felt it a simple and exceedingly fair way to pay for state functions, I long for Washington voters to wake up and smell these income daisies.
