$290 million to repair Seattle seawall

Raises too many questions

Thank you for printing Christopher V. Brown's op-ed [“Reject Seattle’s seawall measure,” Opinion, Nov. 2]. It's true: the ballot measure raises too many nagging questions. It states that property taxes will be raised in excess of property tax levies without a limitation as to rate. A portion of the funds raised will be spent on public works for art, and any remaining funds may be used for other waterfront improvements.

This measure is too open-ended and it asks for too much without promising results.
