Circumcision health advantages outweigh risks, says Academy of Pediatrics
Ethics of male circumcision
I’m disappointed to see that the American Academy of Pediatrics has failed to comment on the ethics of male circumcision in making its recommendation [“Latest study emphasizes benefits of circumcision,” NWMonday, Aug. 27].
Circumcision is a choice a man should be able to make himself, about his own body. It is unethical to impose a medically unnecessary and potentially life-altering excision on a newborn child.
