Proposed arena draws criticism from Port, praise from NBA fans
Has the Panama Canal been factored into arena studies?
Is anyone at the Port of Seattle preparing for the (near) future loss of shipping traffic due to the new, larger Panama Canal [“Canal expansion to alter dynamics of trade,” page one, Aug. 10]?
It is my understanding that automotive and container ships carrying goods for the American market will be able to ship directly to the East and Gulf Coasts, bypassing West Coast ports (and railways).
Has any of this been factored in the studies regarding the proposed Sodo arena?
