Kofi Annan's 'bad' week

Don’t blame him

I object to Kofi Annan being singled out under “Bad Week” in The Seattle Times [“Weekly Review, Aug. 5].

He took the job knowing it would be difficult if not impossible, and he did his best.

It was a bad week for Syria, the United Nations and the Arab League, among others. But let’s not target Annan.

-- Jeremy Mattox, Seattle
