Aside from Inslee and McKenna, seven others run for governor
Jay Inslee is the only person right for governor
In regards to The Times’ article “7 other candidates make bid for governor’s race” [NWWednesday, August 1], I still think Jay Inslee is right person for governor. Inslee combines the right government experience and policies to effectively lead this state. He has the right temperament for this state and would work to solve to change the state for the better, as opposed to these candidates who are single-issue candidates.
Not one of the other candidates has a comprehensive jobs plan — Inslee does. Inslee has a plan that would turn Washington state into a leader in the Green-energy economy. He would prepare Washington state for the future. Inslee has a long history of fighting for a Green economy. Green jobs have the potential to bring thousands of jobs to Washington. He was a leader in the House and he’ll be the leader in Olympia.
His main opponent, Rob McKenna, would be disastrous for this state. McKenna’s policies for this state are just the same old Republican playbook. Cut taxes for the rich, end business and environmental regulations. Nothing new, nothing original and very dangerous for our state. This is why Inslee is the only person right for governor.
