Laura Ruderman's campaign woes
Someone who sets news lows
Laura Ruderman should drop out of her bid for the new 1st District congressional seat. Ruderman demonstrated little personal integrity and no ownership of her actions when it was revealed that she sanctioned the PAC that her mom established and funded to spread lies about her opponents [“Ruderman’s mother finances group’s ads attacking DelBene,” NWMonday, July 16].
When confronted with the truth, Ruderman tried to mislead us by throwing her mom under the bus — a new low in politics.
She must think that we’re idiots when she tried to distance herself from PAC’s actions. Ruderman said that she would ask the PAC to curtail their behavior. Laura, the PAC is your mom. I think you can phone the woman who birthed you and wiped your bottom to ask her to stop playing dirty politics for you — instead you tried to create a media event that implied that you are the hurt party. I don’t expect politics to be clean, but this new low speaks poorly of your character and values.
A new seat in the U.S. House is an honor for the state of Washington; it speaks to Washington’s success and future promise. I don’t want our first representative someone who sets new lows in personal integrity and values.
