Shooting at Batman movie premiere in Aurora, Colo.
Please be neutral in reporting
I chastise The Times for running very anti-gun article [“4 weapons bought legally over 2 months,” news, July 21]. It places this tragic event for the most part on the state of Colorado for not denying Second Amendment rights to every citizen of the state, with some left over for the federal government not doing the same for the whole country. Denying citizens of their rights of anything has never stopped the reason for the denial.
I shudder to think of myself in similar circumstances without the means to protect myself. If I were to die, at least I would do it fighting regardless of the odds. Please be neutral in your reporting. Facts, not opinions.

The safety of citizens
At what point will the right to bear arms proliferate in our country and be recognized as an unconstitutional infringement on the safety of the citizens? The rights of guns are making us less free.

A “law-abiding citizen”
For Luke O’Dell’s information, there was a “law-abiding citizen” carrying weapons into the theater in Aurora — he’s the killer of 12 innocent people.
