Zip-line proposal for Lincoln Park pulled
Speaking up for the animals
Finally eagles, owls and our neighborhood fox win a victory [“Parks department pulls plan for zip line in West Seattle,” NWThursday, July 12].
No one told our West Seattle wildlife that a UK company called Go Ape wanted to build a zip line in their forested living room called Lincoln Park. Hundreds of us humans were outraged and spoke for those who could not.
We are thankful that city “suits” got the message. We’re grateful that, for now, 135-acres of woodland and beach are OK. It’s crazy that a group called Go Ape got so far.
