Naturalization ceremony
Recognize Ethnic Heritage Council
Sincere thanks to Tan Vinh for celebrating this year’s Naturalization Ceremony at Seattle Center in The Times [“525 sworn in as new U.S. citizens,” NWThursday, July 5].
Though not mentioned, the Ethnic Heritage Council deserves recognition for producing this wonderful annual event. EHC does much great work in our community through its many events and awards.
Since its inception in 1980 as a nonprofit organization, EHC has grown in membership from a few individuals to hundreds of ethnic and cultural organizations and individuals.
Member organizations work together to preserve and document ethnic heritage, advance cross-cultural understanding and inform area residents about the ethnic experience in the Northwest through festivals, workshops, meetings and publications.
