'Fast and furious' puts Attorney General Holder in hot water
A non-news issue?
If Bush or any Republican were in office as our president and his attorney general was stonewalling Congress like our current attorney general, would it still be a non-news issue? [“GOP’s fast, furious witch hunt is partisan politics and its worst,” Opinion, June 23]
Who cares what party is in power; somebody in our government decided it was a good idea to sell guns to the murderous gangs of Mexico and other people in our government knew about this.
An innocent border guard was gunned down because of this and it is a non-news item to The Times because it may make some Democrats look bad.
Who cares what party they belong to; who could possibly think anything good could come from selling guns to drug gangs?
The person or persons who lacked the intelligence to figure out nothing good could come from such a stupid idea should be called out. The attorney general should be forced to disclose all information Congress wants, and The Times and the other media organizations should do their job and make it front-page news, as you should no matter which party is in power, and as you have when the Republicans have been in power.
