Obama's use of executive privilege

What is really going on?

So what is the president hiding? [“Use of legal claims puts Obama in a tricky spot,” news, June 21.] It can’t be as secret as the military operational information the White House has been releasing to the public, compromising special operations missions.

Why does he need to invoke executive privileges to protect the attorney general (and the White House staff?) from an investigation about guns being given to the Mexican drug cartel that cost the lives of border patrol and Mexican citizens?

Must be pretty bad to hide potential criminal activity from congressional investigation.

— Larry Brickman, Bellevue
