Special election called to fill Inslee's empty seat

Fiscally irresponsible

Editor, The Times:

It’s hard to believe that Jay Inslee would make a fiscally responsible governor when his decision to focus on his campaign efforts will cost the state an extra $770,000. Good luck “earning” my vote. [“Special election called to fill Inslee’s empty seat,” NWTuesday, April 3.]

— Kathleen Aycock, Edmonds

Obligation

I propose Jay Inslee pay the entire expense of $770,000 required to fill a vacancy that he created by not fulfilling his obligation to the taxpayers of Washington state.

— Thomas Frey, Kingston
