Incandescent bulbs to stay around a while longer
Posted by Letters editor
Government has no place in big choices
In “Old light bulbs get an extension from Congress,” Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, expressed outrage at the unfair and onerous government intrusion that takes away “the power to choose” — a light bulb. [News, Dec. 17.]
This from an elected official who belongs to a party that wants the federal government to take away a woman’s reproductive choices?
If the government has no place in bulb-changing choices, why is it a good idea to insert it in life-changing ones?
