Times photographers' eyes for beauty

Posted by Letters editor

Incredible images much appreciated

Editor, The Times:

What incredible photography over the past two days by a couple of photographers — I neglected to save their names.

One was of a stand of four “naked” trees hovering over a fog bank in a flooded area [“A world of water and fog,” NW Tuesday, Dec. 14]. Wow. It’s a subject I often gravitate toward in my photography, though not wishing as serious flooding as we’ve seen.

And the silhouette of a man crossing a street near Pike’s Place Market, with the neon reflections shimmering beneath him, was another beauty mark.

Thanks for showcasing The Times’ photographers’ good eyes for beauty.

— Greg Hunicutt, Seattle
