Rewind | Chat with New Orleans Hornets forward Quincy Pondexter
Former UW forward Quincy Pondexter recently completed his rookie season in the NBA with the New Orleans Hornets.
He played in 66 games, made six starts and was a key reserve off the bench for the Hornets, who qualified for the playoffs, but lost to the L.A. Lakers in the first round.
Pondexter finished his Husky career as the all-time leader in games played (136), and finished third in scoring (1,786 points). During the 2008-09 campaign, he averaged 12.1 ppg and 5.9 rpg and helped lead the Huskies to their first outright Pac-10 title since 1953.
He'll be hosting his first basketball camp from Aug. 2-5 at King's School in Shoreline for boys and girls ages 6-16. For more information, visit http://www.athletefoundations.com.
Pondexter talked about his playing days at UW, his debut season in the NBA and much more in a live chat June 17 on seattletimes.com.
