Live chat with Atlanta Hawks guard Jamal Crawford

Following a standout prep career at Rainier Beach High School, Seattle native Jamal Crawford has gone on to play 11 seasons in the NBA with four teams: Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks.

His best statistical year came in 2007-08 with the Knicks when he averaged 20.6 ppg and 5.0 apg.

Crawford just completed his first season in Atlanta and helped the Hawks go 53-29, their first 50-win campaign since 1997-98. He also won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award for his stellar play off the bench, averaging 18.0 ppg and 3.0 apg in 79 games.

He established the Jamal Crawford Foundation ( in 2005 and one of its main programs is to provide ongoing support for athletic trainers at Seattle Public High Schools. The foundation's "High Tops and Helping Hands" event takes place Sat., July 17, at Seattle Children's Bellevue Clinic & Surgery Center at 1 p.m.
