PHOENIX —

The Jodi Arias murder trial resumes as defense attorneys argue the prosecutor committed misconduct by signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans.

Arias' defense team contends the prosecutor's antics may have tainted the jury if anyone on the panel witnessed it.

The judge privately questioned jurors individually last week. Later, a legal correspondent for Turner Broadcasting's In Session was asked about what she saw.

On Sunday, Arias' defense lawyers filed a separate motion seeking a mistrial due to juror misconduct. They claim it was discovered during the closed proceedings last week. They did not cite specifics, but note that removing the juror would also be an option. That would leave five alternate jurors, in addition to the 12 who will decide the case.

Testimony is set to resume Tuesday.
