A detective says a document attributed to a woman charged in the death of a Camp Pendleton Marine's wife identifies her as a participant in a beating and asphyxiation.

Detective Brian Patterson told a judge Monday that Dorothy Maraglino's note says co-defendant Louis Perez should not be charged with a crime and that any death should be considered accidental.

Patterson is the prosecution's final witness at a hearing in Vista to determine whether Maraglino, Perez and another woman should be tried for murder in the death of 22-year-old Brittany Killgore last year. Investigators found whips, paddles and other evidence of a sex bondage ring at Maraglino's home in Fallbrook.

Another detective says the cell phone towers traced co-defendant Jessica Lopez's phone to the area where Killgore's body was found.
