A second person has been charged with murder in the death of a South Carolina college student.

The State Law Enforcement Division says 22-year-old Stephon Mclain Jr. was arrested Wednesday in Mansfield, Ohio.

Nineteen-year-old Anthony Darnell Liddell of Bennettsville was shot three times at a residence complex at Coastal Carolina University last month and died several hours later.

Twenty-year-old Marquis Spencer McDonald has already been charged with murder. Authorities say McDonald has admitted he was present when Liddell was shot but says someone else fired the gun.

SLED says Mclain waived extradition to South Carolina and is being held at the Horry County jail. It wasn't known if he has an attorney or when he would appear in court.
