Fire breaks out on JetBlue flight in Baltimore

Firefighters have extinguished a small fire that broke out in the engine of a JetBlue flight that landed at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

LINTHICUM, Md. —

Firefighters have extinguished a small fire that broke out in the engine of a JetBlue flight that landed at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

WJLA-TV (http://wj.la/UlM1As ) reports JetBlue flight 1329 was arriving about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday from Boston. The engine of the Embraer ERJ-190 aircraft apparently caught fire as the plane was taxiing to the gate.

Airport firefighters were able to put out the fire at the gate. No passengers or crew members were hurt.

An airport spokesman says no other flights have been affected by the incident.
