NEW DELHI —

News reports say that one person has been killed and at least 31 others injured in a collision between two trains in western India.

Press Trust of India says an express train collided with some derailed coaches of a commuter train that were lying on the tracks. The accident took place on the outskirts of Mumbai late Thursday.

The accident has delayed other trains and railway workers have been working overnight to clear the debris from the tracks.

Few other details were immediately available.

Railway officials could not be reached for comment on the accident.
