Mexico's dominant television network says it has agreed to conditions set by regulators for allowing it to enter the cellphone market.

The cellphone investment has been controversial because it involves the Televisa network buying half of a cell carrier controlled by the owner of the only other national TV broadcaster.

Anti-trust regulators have expressed concern the alliance could lead to collusion between the two networks in television as well as phone service. They refused to allow the deal unless the broadcasters agreed to firewalls, protection against bundling practices, and agreed not to interfere with the auction of frequencies for a third TV network.

Televisa announced Monday it will accept the conditions, allowing it to take a 50-percent stake in cell carrier Iusacell.
