A Maine jury says a man convicted of taking a fifth-grade class hostage at gunpoint was sane when he did it.

A Maine jury says a man convicted of taking a fifth-grade class hostage at gunpoint was sane when he did it.
Randall Hofland faces decades in prison on his conviction on charges including kidnapping and criminal threatening and restraint.
The jury found the 57-year-old Hofland guilty on Friday. On Tuesday it rejected his argument that he was insane at the time of the crime in a tiny town called Stockton Springs.
No children were hurt.
Hofland will be held without bail until his sentencing in two or three months. His attorney says he faces up to 40 years in prison.
Waldo County District Attorney Geoffrey Rushlau calls the jury's verdict "very satisfying."
Hofland tells the Bangor Daily News newspaper he'll appeal.
