Angela Thermidor, a resident of Haiti who volunteered for World Concern, was taking end-of-term exams when her school building collapsed, World Concern said in a statement. She died along with numerous other students.
Thermidor was the prevention-training director for World Concern's HIV programs and helped to develop curricula for both the prevention and palliative-care programs in Haiti.
"She was an intelligent, creative and invaluable member of the World Concern family," the statement says.
World Concern has worked in Haiti since 1978 and has more than 100 staff there.
