Child porn charge filed against ex-San Bernardino aide to Congressman Baca
A felony child pornography possession charge has been filed against the former San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee finance chair and aide to U.S. Rep. Joe Baca.
A felony child pornography possession charge has been filed against the former San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee finance chair and aide to U.S. Rep. Joe Baca.
Sam Clauder has pleaded not guilty and remains free on $25,000 bail until an April 20 hearing. Prosecutor Angela Sonico says the 57-year-old Clauder faces up to three years in prison if convicted.
Clauder denies the allegation, saying he didn't live in the Crestline home when the pornography was found on a computer. He blames a bitter divorce battle for the allegation.
Clauder was fired Monday as Baca's representative in the 43rd Congressional District, which includes Ontario, Fontana, Rialto and Colton.
