Jeff Mangum, in town solo this week, is a game-changer, or rather his Louisiana band Neutral Milk Hotel was, with its 1998 possessed-sounding psychedelic-pop masterpiece "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea." That album set trends that played out over an entire generation of indie rock — epic horn arrangements and involved poetry among them. News of Mangum's show has generated so much excitement, a second show has been added.
