KRWM edges out KIRO in March Seattle radio rankings
The March 2012 rankings of radio stations are in. KRWM 106.9 holds the number-one spot on the FM dial, edging out KIRO 97.3, tops in the last Seattle Times radio rankings report of November, 2011. KOMO 1000 All News maintains the number-one AM spot. Rankings are from the Arbitron company, which measures listenership for advertisers.

The numbers are in. According to the ratings reported in March by the Arbitron company, the top-ranked FM radio station in the Seattle area is KRWM 106.9, which plays soft adult contemporary music. Right behind KRWM is KIRO 97.3 (news and talk), which ranked number-one in the Seattle Times radio rankings report of November 13, 2011.
KOMO 1000 All News maintains its number-one spot among AM stations.

A previous version of this story implied that KIRO 97.3 ranked number one in Seattle's radio market for the fall quarter of 2011. KIRO ranked number one in November, 2011, the month in which The Seattle Times reported the fall radio rankings, but not for the entire quarter.
