Welcome to the 2010 edition of The Seattle Times holiday entertainment guide.
In the pages below, you'll find seven lists of seasonal events: festivals, dance performances, arts & crafts shows, classical concerts, Christmas ships, pop concerts and plays.
You could just bookmark these pages and revisit them when you're looking for something to do between now and Dec. 31.
Or you could put on your game face and join our 2010 holiday scavenger hunt:
Pick an activity or two — or seven! — and send us a photo from each one you attend. We'll post photos and map locations on the map above to see exactly how much ground our readers can cover this holiday season.
Here's how it works:
• When you're at one of the listed holiday activities, take a cellphone picture of the scene and e-mail it to SeaTimesLife.holidays@picasaweb.com.
• Include a photo caption and your first name in the subject line and send it our way.
• If you have a GPS-enabled smartphone (such as an iPhone, Droid or BlackBerry), your photo will map automatically (see map above). If you don't have one, please also include your location in the caption.
• Note: We're not encouraging you to take photos inside theaters during performances. That's a guaranteed way to bring out the humbugs. But lobby photos and theater entrances count.
Ready? Go. And happy holiday hunting!
