Kurt Cobain's death, 15 years later, being marked with Friday tribute
A Kurt Cobain and Nirvana tribute concert by Nevermind and High Class Wreckage will take place at Motor in Seattle on Friday, April 10. Proceeds go to the Kurt Cobain Memorial Committee, whose mission is to build a youth center and memorial park in Cobain's hometown of Aberdeen.

It's been 15 years since Kurt Cobain died.
Cobain was found dead in his Seattle home on April 8, 1994, with a shotgun wound to his head (the coroner would later estimate that he'd died on April 5). Cobain's iconic band, Nirvana, provided the music for the grunge generation, Gen X.
To celebrate his life, Nevermind, the only Nirvana cover band officially endorsed by the Cobain family, will play a show Friday, April 10, with High Class Wreckage. The show will raise money for the Kurt Cobain Memorial Committee, whose mission is to build a youth center and memorial park in Cobain's hometown of Aberdeen.
The all-ages show starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, at Motor, 1950 First Ave. S, in Seattle. Tickets cost $13 (in advance through www.brownpapertickets.com) or $15 at the door. For more information, go to www.kurtcobainmemorial.org.
