'The Seattle Times-Picayune' in Benjamin Gibbard's new video
In case you couldn't tell by "Winner of a 2012 Wurlitzer Prize," the above image is a Seattle Times parody. "The Seattle Times-Picayune" is not real. It is funny, though. The fake paper appears in local rock star Benjamin Gibbard's Tom Scharpling-directed music video for the song "Teardrop Windows," from Gibbard's new album "Former Lives" (review here). There's a pretty good "Variety" parody in the video, too. But I think the Seattle Times one is better. Check the text in the Onion-y article mentioning the "Grunge Hills" neighborhood and "a toilet brush repair facility — the first of its kind in Seattle." I want to read the whole thing. I wonder if it exists.
