Live from the press room: Sera Cahoone, Deep Sea Diver

Friday at noon on the homepage, we'll host a live pre-Bumbershoot concert in our old basement press room, with local artists and Bumbershoot performers Sera Cahoone and Deep Sea Diver. They will play a few songs for a private audience in the building, streamed in the centerpiece spot on seattletimes.com for all the Internet. Cahoone plays Bumbershoot Saturday at 3:30; Deep Sea Diver is on Sunday at 7:30.
Cahoone — the stoic, countrified Seattle singer-songwriter (and yet she has a song called "Rumpshaker") — will play from her upcoming album "Deer Creek Canyon," out Sept. 25 on local label Sub Pop Records. Fun facts about Deep Sea Diver: also a local band, and it features Jessica Dobson, guitarist for the Shins and Beck.
