Video: 'Shapes and Movements 1' for Bellevue Arts Museum
Seattle visual artist Christian J. Petersen has created this video of bright patterns and dilated pixels called "Shapes and Movements 1," as a contribution to "Bold Expressions" at Bellevue Arts Museum. The African American quilt exhibit runs now through Oct. 7. The song is Seattle hip-hop group Shabazz Palaces' "Barksdale Corners," originally issued with Petersen's "I Want You" magazine, downloadable here.
Petersen will perform video projections of quilts and other things at BAM's rooftop sculpture garden for "BAMignite," Friday, Aug. 17 — a funky music/art/alcohol situation where the rooftop makes its public debut and the museum stays open late, in party mode. Learn all about that here.
