"My Volvo" is Grynch's biggest hit
Posted by Andrew Matson
Here's "My Volvo" as performed last night at Grynch's concert at Nectar in Fremont. Notice how the song has three choruses. It's all hooks! (Remember: You can download it for free at getgrynch.com.)
"My Volvo" was so popular, he played it twice, and as I left was closing his set with "My Volvo" version 2.0. I predict he will never be able to escape the song, and will be called on to perform it long after he gets a new car.
"Tank on empty, whippin' my momma Volvo" is just one of the funniest refrains I've heard on a rap song, especially screwed down to an inhumanly low pitch, like it's supposed to sound sinister.
Really don't know why fellow rappers Tunji, Mic Phemon, and Macklemore all wore wigs on stage. That was a little weird.
