Tacoma loses season finale to Fresno, 9-5

Rainiers finish season 74-70 after allowing Grizzlies to score six runs in fifth inning.

Fresno earned a 9-5 victory over visiting Tacoma on Monday afternoon in the Pacific Coast League season finale before 8,161 fans at Chukchansi Park.

Fresno hit for the cycle in a six-run fifth with singles by Darren Ford, Jarrett Parker and Trevor Brown, a double by Brandon Hicks, a triple by Gary Brown, and a three-run home run by Adam Duvall.

Ketel Marte scored two runs for Tacoma (74-70).

At Tri-City 5, Everett 4

Pinch-runner Richard Prigatano scored on a throwing error in the ninth inning in the Northwest League season finale.
